Nigerian Justice Emeka Nwite set October 11 to rule on Binance’s tax evasion trial involving the platform and its directors.
The trial of Binance Holdings Limited, a prominent cryptocurrency platform, has been scheduled for October 11 by Nigerian Justice Emeka Nwite.
The platform and its two directors are facing a four-count tax evasion allegation due to their failure to register with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).
Ayodele Omotilewa, Binance’s attorney, pleaded not guilty to the allegations and requested that the court dismiss them.
In June, Tigran Gambaryan and Nadeem Anjarwalla, executives of Binance, were cleared of comparable tax evasion charges; however, they continue to be subject to distinct allegations of money laundering.
